If you’re the creative type, you’ve probably already run into the headache of writer’s block. Rather you just can’t find the right words to come to you, or your inner artist has decided to go into hibernation for an indiscernible amount of time — you deserve to put that pen to the paper again. You owe it to yourself.
Sometimes it has nothing to do with you as the artist. You’re not suddenly an awful writer. You didn’t wake up one day and not know the difference between affect and effect (although, if you ever do figure it out, please let me know). And you certainly aren’t any less of a creative just because you haven’t created anything in awhile.
You’re still just as talented as you were since the last time you drew that comic strip about the most recent political uproar.
You know that one. It made people cry.
You’ve still got it, kid.
At any rate, it might be about time to change up your scenery. If you’re experiencing that you can’t find anything to write about as you stare at the same four walls, in the same room you once witnessed your cat puke on the carpet in; it’s no wonder you can’t think of anything to write.
